Mrs. Victoria Ruffin-Atkins is a Goldsboro High School Graduate. She is an Honor Graduate of Fayetteville State University with a B.A. in Music Education. She has her Masters in Adult Education from Central Michigan University. She is also a licensed in School Administration and Curriculum;Instruction. Mrs. Ruffin-Atkins has been an educator for the Wayne County Public School System for 15 years. Currently, Mrs. Ruffin- Atkins serves a Music and Theatre director for Goldsboro High School. Mrs. Ruffin Atkins was named Teacher of the Year and Beginning Teacher of the year while serving at Goldsboro Intermediate as well as Dillard Middle School. She serves as a GHS beginning teacher mentor.
Mrs Ruffin -Atkins was a Radio Personality for WSSG-AM 1300 (formerly WOKN). Mrs Ruffin-Atkins has traveled while performing for such celebrities as John Amos, Patti Labelle, and Sybil Lynch as well as with the Vancouver Symphony in Canada. Mrs. Atkins was a top 20 finalist in Fox 50’s American Idol Cary, NC Auditions. In March 2014, Mrs. Ruffin-Atkins was a Finalist on the BET’s “Sunday Best” Finals in Decatur, Georgia.
Mrs. Ruffin-Atkins is married to Darryl Atkins, and they have two children Chrystian (6) and Caydon (2). Mrs. Ruffin Atkins inspires students and audiences and reminds them WITH GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
