Jarran Reed
Jarran Kentrel Reed, an American football defensive end for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL), was born on December 16, 1992. He attended Alabama for his collegiate football career, and the Seahawks selected him in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He also spent one season each with the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Reed graduated in 2011 from Goldsboro High School in Goldsboro, North Carolina. After Reed finished from high school, he was required to spend a year at Hargrave Military Academy because of his subpar academics.
In 2012 and 2013, Reed studied at East Mississippi Community College. During the 2013 campaign, Reed assisted in guiding his squad to victory in the NJCAA national title. Reed made 100 career stops during his stint at East Mississippi Community College, including 10.5 tackles for loss. Reed changed schools to the University of Alabama before 2014.
He participated in all 14 of Alabama’s games during his debut season, starting 13 of them. He had 55 stops and one sack. Reed thought about going in the 2015 NFL Draft, but he changed his mind and stayed at Alabama for his senior year. During his senior year, Reed participated in each of the 15 games and helped his team win the CFP National Championship. In his senior year, he made 57 tackles and one sack.
